Rusty's looking sharp

Call him Rusty Shellhorn, call him a Central Valley High School pitching phenom, call him a potential ace on the staff next season for Washington State University, but last week the Liberty Lake resident earned a new title: the best high school baseball player in Washington state.
The newly named Gatorade Player of the Year, who we profiled last summer (Splash photo taken then is above), discussed his future plans with freelancer Howie Stalwick in The Olympian last week. Hint: They are subject to where he is taken in Major League Baseball’s first-year player draft, which is this Thursday and Friday.
