The Marmot Debate

As residents know, marmots could be considered an unofficial mascot of Liberty Lake. We don't brag it up too much, but the critters are common sights at Liberty Lake golf courses and lately even garages.
The Spokesman-Review ran a story (link may require registration) over the weekend talking about the marmot problem in the Rocky Hill neighborhood, including what Greenstone is doing about the rodents. There is some interesting discussion in this story about whether the marmots should be left alone or whether the trapping/euthanization that is taking place is a more appropriate route. What do you think?
