Incidents and arrests • Custodial interference - At 8:30 a.m. March 22, LLPD was dispatched to the 1800 block of North Wolfe Penn for a custodial interference. The complainant reported her ex-husband removed their children from a child care center in violation of an established parenting plan. • Found dog - LLPD was dispatched at 9:40 p.m. March 22 to a dog that was found at the 23000 block of East Maxwell Avenue. The case was referred to SCRAPS. • Commercial alarm - LLPD responded to a commercial alarm at the 2300 block of North Molter Road at 1:35 a.m. March 23. It was determined that the alarm was false. • Assault - A 21-year-old Liberty Lake woman was arrested at 3 a.m. March 23 at the 21200 block of East Country Vista Drive for domestic violence assault. • Vehicle prowl - At 2 p.m. March 22, LLPD received report of a vehicle prowl that occurred at about 12:45 a.m. that morning at the 1800 block of North Aladdin Road. The complainant reported he saw people breaking into his vehicle, and when he yelled at them they ran off carrying items from the vehicle. He chased the suspects, who got into a green minivan and drove away. The complainant provided a license plate number, and the case has been assigned to Bourgeois for follow-up investigation. • Rude shopper - LLPD was dispatched at 1 p.m. March 23 to Walgreens, 1502 N. Liberty Lake Road, for an unwanted subject who was reportedly being rude to customers. Officers located the subject sitting in a parked vehicle in the area. The subject said he thought the police were watching him, and he had a suspended driver's license and was waiting for someone to come pick him up. Officers contacted the subject's mother, who arrived on scene and picked him up. • Fuel theft - At 11 a.m. March 23, police received report of a fuel theft at the 22300 block of Appleway. The complainant reported a subject pumped $40.82 of gas and left in a red Honda Civic without paying for the fuel. • Weapons call - Liberty Lake Police assisted the Spokane County Sheriff's Office at 4:50 p.m. March 23 on a weapon-related call at the 24000 block of East Roxanne Avenue in Otis Orchards. The complainant reported a subject made a verbal threat and pointed a gun at him. LLPD contacted the victim of this case, and Sheriff's deputies contacted the suspect, who was arrested and the handgun recovered. • Vehicular assault - Liberty Lake Police assisted the Spokane County Sheriff's Office at 1 a.m. March 24 on a vehicular assault case at the 24000 block of East River Road in Otis Orchards. • Marijuana arrest - Liberty Lake police arrested a 31-year-old Spokane man at Interstate 90 and Barker Road at 9:20 p.m. March 24 for driving with a suspended license and possession of a marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The man was initially pulled over for a lane violation. • Suspended license - A 21-year-old Liberty Lake man was arrested at 10:50 p.m. March 21 for at Country Vista Drive and Liberty Lake Road for driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was initially stopped for an illegal lane change. • Suspended license - A 40-year-old Rathdrum woman was arrested at 9:30 a.m. March 22 at Country Vista Drive and Legacy Ridge Road for driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was initially stopped for a speeding violation. • Suspended license - A 44-year-old Otis Orchards man was arrested at 5:50 p.m. March 22 at Harvard Road and Indiana Road for driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was initially stopped for an equipment violation. • Suspended license - A 20-year-old Spokane Valley man was arrested at 11:30 p.m. March 22 at Country Vista Drive and Liberty Lake Road for driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was initially stopped for an illegal lane change. • Suspended license - A 39-year-old Spokane woman was arrested at 11 a.m. March 23 at Appleway Avenue and Liberty Lake Road for driving with a suspended license. • Suspended license - A 29-year-old Cheney man was arrested at 5:30 a.m. March 25 at Interstate 90 and Broadway for driving with a suspended license. • Suspended license - A 20-year-old Spokane woman was arrested at 5:20 a.m. March 23 at Appleway Avenue and Broaday for driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was initially stopped for a speeding violation.
