Celebrate week by donating, purchasing at book sale
Oct. 17-23 is National Friends of the Library Week. The Friends of the Liberty Lake Municipal Library are celebrating by hosting a Friend-ly Book Sale on Saturday, Oct. 23. We are inviting the community to join us and cash in on many Friend-ly bargains from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library. Materials will be available for all ages.
The Friends is a group of library enthusiasts who use proceeds from book sales and memberships to fund library projects, programs and materials. We also participate in volunteer opportunities and advocate for the Liberty Lake Municipal Library.
Donations of gently used books are appreciated and encouraged. If you have books you no longer need, if you have books left over from a garage sale, if you want to get rid of old books to make room for new books, think of us. Most of the books we sell are donated by members of the community.
Even more important, you can make a valuable contribution to your local library by volunteering your time with the Friends. Whether you have computer skills to share, can work a shift at one of our book sales, or want to help with special events like the Summer Reading Program or our annual Spring Tea, the Friends can use your help. Learn more about joining the Friends and our numerous volunteer opportunities by visiting our website at www.libertylakefriends.org.
There's no better way to support your local library and celebrate National Friends of the Library Week than by helping your library's best friends.

Secretary, Friends of the Liberty Lake Municipal Library
