In Biz Inland Krav Maga moved into a new facility last month at 23129 E. Mission Ave. in Liberty Lake. Owner Jim LaBella said around half the 4,500-square-foot space recently was completed to accommodate a training area and small pro shop for the martial arts defense program. Plans are underway to expand into the back area of the former Model Home Furnishings building to offer an additional training area, a kids training area and a system of punching bags, LaBella said. The second phase should be completed by the end of this year. Adult classes for all skill levels are offered Monday through Thursday and additional conditioning classes and classes for kids ages 6 to 11 will begin in October, LaBella said. "Krav Maga is a unique martial art that draws people from all over," LaBella said. "Liberty Lake is a great central point since we have people (attend classes) from North Spokane and Coeur d'Alene." LaBella began offering Krav Maga classes in November of last year at the Liberty Lake Athletic Club. Beginner classes are starting again, he said, with a grand opening special of $79 per month for unlimited classes. For more information, go to www.inlandkravmaga.com.
