Two teams from Stepping Stone Christian School, Liberty Lake Church and Eastpoint church are going to Guatemala this summer on a combined medical mission trip. On June 13 the group is holding a car wash to raise money for the trip from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Liberty Lake Sterling Savings building, 22408 E. Appleway. The group also is holding a missions team garage sale at 24608 E. Maxwell Lane to coincide with the Liberty Lake Community Yard Sale on Saturday.
The team includes Liberty Lake residents Brooke and McKenna Stocker, Jennifer and Cole Fisk, Annika Brumpton and Danyll and Taryn Van Lierop. In Guatemala, the team will paint schools, lead children's chapel in remote villages and hold medical, dental and vision clinics.
Moms looking for moms in LL
Moms and Friends of Liberty Lake is seeking mothers and children to join for playgroups, craft days, field trips, moms' night-out events and more.
Current members will be at the Liberty Lake Starbucks, 1342 N. Liberty Lake Road, at 1 p.m. June 14 to discuss a calendar of events and details about the group.

Library expands Saturday hours
The Liberty Lake Municipal Library is expanding its hours on Saturdays to give patrons more time to browse titles and check out books.

Starting last weekend, the library now is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., two more hours than before. The library, located at 23123 E. Mission Ave., also is open during the week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Friday and noon to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. The library now will be open 46 hours a week.
Senior Fitness classes offered
The IEL Seniors Program is offering two exercise classes to those of retirement age or preparing for retirement at the Liberty Lake Athletic Club, 23410 E. Mission Ave. Students do not need to be a member of the club to join the class. Both classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting June 23 through August.
The first class is designed to improve cardiovascular endurance, muscle tone, flexibility and overall sense of well-being. It will run from 9 to 10 a.m., and the cost is $16. The end date is Aug. 20.
The second class is designed to help improve fitness and overall range of motion through water walking, stretching and other water exercises. This class will run from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m., and the cost is $18. The end date is Aug. 13.

Police host bike rodeo
The community is invited June 20 to the Liberty Lake Police Department's annual bike rodeo to register bicycles, get a helmet check and learn about bike safety and riding tips.
The department is planning to create a database of bikes so they can be returned to owners if missing or stolen.
The event will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the department, 23127 E. Mission Ave.
Parenting forum to meet
Spokane Valley's Mindful Mamas is holding a parenting forum on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
The free forum meets from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Liberty Lake Municipal Library's meeting room, 23123 E. Mission Ave.
Breastfeeding questions will be answered, and all parents and caregivers are welcome. The event also is kid friendly. For more information, visit www.spokanemindfulmamas.com.
FOPP looking for volunteers
Friends of Pavillion Park has volunteer opportunities for a variety of positions, including helping with publicity and event setup and tear down.
Friends of Pavillion Park meets monthly on the first Thursday of the month and produces the Summer Concert Series, Outdoor Cinema, Liberty Lake Loop Fun Run, Holiday Ball and awards college scholarships each year.

FRIENDS of Library seeks volunteers
The FRIENDS of the Liberty Lake Municipal Library are looking for new volunteers to serve on the board.
The FRIENDS group is responsible for fundraising and recruiting volunteers to support the library. The group sponsors the annual Spring Tea and other events to raise money for library events, bond committee, and technology for the library. The board meets at 6 p.m. on the last Tuesday of each month.
