Emerald City Smoothie to leave Liberty Lake
Emerald City Smoothie is moving from Liberty Lake after two years of serving fruit smoothies at 1322 N. Liberty Lake Road in the Albertsons complex.
The store, owned by Kevin and Brooke Stocker, will close Aug. 31 and move to the Spokane Valley YMCA, 2421 N. Discovery Place. It will reopen Sept. 10. The Stockers own a second location in the north Spokane YMCA, where it has done well, Kevin Stocker said.
"I wish it would have worked here," Stocker said last week. "We love Liberty Lake … the store just wasn't making it."
The store is holding a sale on retail items during the next two weeks, including vitamins, snacks, cleanses and energy bars.
The relocated Emerald City Smoothie, which is part of a Seattle-based franchise, still will honor gift and patron cards, Stocker said.
