Owens concedes state senate race

Liberty Lake City Councilwoman Judi Owens sent out an e-mail to her supporters Thursday evening, saying that she had conceded the race to longtime incumbent Bob McCaslin.

Here's an excerpt from the e-mail:

"I called Bob McCaslin this evening to congratulate him on winning an 8^th term.  It is up to him to use the time he has been given to represent all of us.  I will pray for him and honor the position he holds and I ask that each of you do likewise. 

"It is my sincere wish that he be granted wisdom on each decision that he must make.  I hope
that he uses his voice to advance the cause of the citizens of the 4^th District and the state of Washington with compassion and prudence.   

"As for me, it has been such an honor to participate in the Democratic process. ..."
