A 73-year-old Liberty Lake man was arrested Saturday in a bar after he threatened to kill a patron and later returned to the Greenacres business with a loaded shotgun.
Frederick C. Medlen was booked into the Spokane County Jail on a felony count of attempted first-degree murder.
When Medlen entered Mr. G’s Bar and Grill earlier in the day, he encountered a shirtless customer. The two argued about the man's lack of clothing, and Medlen threatened to kill him. He then left saying he was getting his shotgun. The shirtless man left the bar before Medlen returned.
Officers said Medlen had loaded the shotgun and had several extra rounds in his pockets.
Medlen already had an existing warrant for his arrest charging him with driving under the influence. He was booked on the warrant as well as the felony murder charge.
